Dr. Mitchell Roffer from ROFFS™ Reviews Ocean Conditions – May 31, 2017

Dr. Mitchell Roffer from ROFFS™ reviews the ocean conditions – May 31, 2017.  Conditions this past weekend were good from Brownsville, TX around the FL Keys and up the FL coastline off the east coast of the United States towards the Cape Hatteras, Oregon Inlet and Cape Cod areas.  Blue water in the Wilmington, Baltimore and Poor Mans Canyons producing bluefin tuna.  Loop Current remains far southward for this time of the year.

Blue marlin and tuna action continues offshore of Charleston and Georgetown, SC with similar conditions occurring northward towards Morehead City, NC all the way up to Cape Hatteras, NC.  Clockwise rotating eddy continues to push “Bahamas” blue water towards the eastern edge of Abaco including the Wonderland, Mushroom and Jurassic Park areas.

South of the Mississippi River Delta area we continue to observe a large clockwise rotating eddy pulling Loop Current water towards the Green Canyon and Mississippi Canyon areas bringing tuna and marlin with it.  Westward, towards Texas we continue to observe dark blue water moving northward from Mexico moving northward towards the Texas coastline.  Please click here, call (800)677.7633 or send an email to fish7@roffs.com to place your order for this coming weekend!
