ROFFS™ FISHERIES OCEANOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS (LAT./LONG.)
NORTHEAST SPECIAL FROM CAPE COD to CAPE HATTERAS
UPDATED ON MONDAY 12 MAY 2014

We are providing a special analysis of the ocean conditions offshore from Cape Cod to Cape Hatteras including all the Canyons and out east to 67°00’W using a combination of sst° data from Monday, May 12th. There is currently 65°F to 67°F/68°F water over the bank from Spencer Canyon to Hudson Canyon as far inshore as 100-200 to 500 fathoms in places for likely good chances for mako sharks, bluefin tuna, bigeye tuna, swordfish and perhaps early season dolphin fish and yellowfin tuna action.  Furthermore, there is Gulf Stream related water (64°F/65°F to 67°F) as far inshore as 45-50 fathoms north of Veatch Canyon, north of the Atlantis Canyons to north of Block Canyon and into the Fish Tails for some unusual early season favorable tuna conditions.  Positive reports are starting to filter in as boats are starting to head offshore during brief weather windows and are catching bluefin tuna, sharks and early season mahi-mahi action in certain places. Of course offshore of Oregon Inlet to Cape Hatteras, the direct Gulf Stream water and Gulf Stream related water is not far offshore for tuna, wahoo, dolphin fish and billfish action.  Do not miss out on some early season tuna up north, contact ROFFS™ to order your analysis today to get a more detailed forecast and report of the better conditions for fishing action near you.
