“Thanks for the great report! I was originally planning on heading north out of Mayport. After reviewing your report and seeing favorable conditions to the south consistent for the past 3 days I changed my plans to start there and troll my way north along a temp and color line. Within 30 minutes of trolling we hooked up with a nice 30# wahoo. Before I had a chance to re-set my whole spread we had our second fish on which was a nice 40# wahoo. With more than enough meat for me and crew we headed back home and left the rest to grow for next time.”

Your report for Friday put us 500 fathoms into the Baltimore Canyon where we saw 1 white marlin, went 3 for 3 on nice mahi, and 2 for 3 on big eye tuna to secure 1st and 3rd places in the tuna division of the Ocean City Marlin Club Canyon Kick Off Tournament. Our picture from the weigh-in is attached.

I started fishing the 220 (3/4th way down the west wall of Baltimore canyon) 100 fathoms working towards the 190 was my plan and at the 217 we ran over a pack of yellowfins and hooked up 4 unfortunately only putting 3 in the box. (Charter crew issues, young kids couldn’t really fight the fish so my mate and myself pretty much fought them and ran the boat) interesting couple minutes while doing the fire drill. That was our only bite on the troll as my customers wanted to switch over to bottom fishing. Another boat from our marina had similar situation with 5 fish on the east wall of the baltimore. The water was a gray blue and 74.5 degrees. Highlight of the day was a 35.4lb Golden Tilefish on the deep drop.
Ok so you have a happy new client so far. Landed on a couple of your numbers and took about 3 minutes to get tight. The Bluefin and Mahi caught at Coimbra Wreck but the yellowfin by 100 square and the Letters area in the Hudson. A dozen short Yellows released and 3 nice mahi kept up to 45 pounds. White Marlin released in the deep. Overall a great day! No Eyeballs caught that I heard of except for way East in the deep, Dip, Atlantis and Hydrographer. But what to me was unusual was that it was just me, my buddy Bobby Lee on the Blackhawk and a guy from Jersey in the area. Day after 4th i guess kept guys home, but seas were perfect!

"I received my ROFFS™ fishing forecasting analysis Friday night and studied it with the boat captain Dave Heil, Esq. Saturday morning and then we decided where to fish for red snapper last Saturday. We were late leaving the dock at 8:30 am, but arrived on the fishing grounds southeast of Cape Canaveral by 10:00 am. We proceeded to quickly catch three nice red snapper from five drops on some nice bottom structure, two in the photo and a nice porgy. We developed steering problems and were forced to come home at noon. Thanks for the analysis, it clearly helped selecting the bottom topography to catch these fish."

“On a roll. Inshore - One fish 54lb. one 38lb. here is a pic of the 54. My son Vincent had a 40 minute fight on a 25K Saragosa spinner. Awesome! Next stop, Offshore - Went to the Edge just east of Hudson - landed on one set of your numbers and immediately hooked up. Was on the way to my slip in Montauk and dragged a spread along the 100 line all the way to the Dip and halfway to the tails, but there were only short yellows, skippies and a White Marlin. Gonna wait for the fish to move west into Atlantis from east Hydrographer. Plenty of large Bass in Montauk to play with in the meantime with the full moon coming.
