Kelly Reark Wins ROFFS™ Artist of the Year for 2017-2018!
At ROFFS™ we annually select an artist that we would like to feature as our “Artist of the Year.” The purpose of this honor is to develop a mutually beneficial relationship with relatively new and up and coming artists in the marine community. We select artists based on a variety of objective and subjective criteria. Previous recipients have been Don Ray, Steve Goione, Cary Chen, Kevin Brant, Barry Barnett, Daniel Jean-Baptiste, Mark Ray, Tony Ludovico, Judy Shillingburg, Larry Rackley, David Mellor, Dustin Cole, Dennis Friel and Adrian Gray. This year the ROFFS™ “artist of the year 2017-2018” is Kelly Reark of Gulf Cove Studio, Port Charlotte, FL.

RIP Don Combs – Founder of C&H Lures / Founder of SaltLife
RIP Don Combs, founder of C&H Lures, founder of SaltLife, pioneer in so many different fishing techniques, industry leader, contributor to many “how to” articles in many magazines, big game and all game fishing captain of Shark Bait, surfer, and friend.
Captain Don Combs has fished from coast to coast, the Bahamas, Mexico and Australia and has won over 300 fishing awards. He has won Boat of the Year in North Florida four times and finshed second six more times. He caught 52 Billfish in North Florida in one year, including a new record of nine Swordfish in one night. With his wife, Cynthia Combs, they captured the first Super Grand Slam ever recorded in North Florida. Don is the Founder and managing partner of C&H Lures, Inc. He has written articles for Salt Water Sportsman, Big Game Journal, Marlin Magazine and many other publications. He has been the guest speaker at events from California to New Jersey and traveled with the Saltwater Seminar Series with Captain George Povermo. He also made three instructional videos that were voted some of the best in the inductry. Don competed in the SKA Pro Division and was sponsored by Fountain Power Boats, Mercury Motors, Lowrance Electronics, Sign Zoo, C&H Lures, and Ford Motor Company.

Due to popular demand we are once again offering a winter Florida sailfish/wahoo special discount plan. Many people realize that the currents affect the distribution and catch of sailfish just like the other billfish, tuna, dolphin, wahoo, kingfish and sharks. As our clients have won many sailfish tournaments over the last few years (e.g. Viking Key West Challenge, Northeast Florida Wahoo Shootout Series, Quest for the Crest, etc.) and use our fishing forecasting analyses on a regular basis from Jacksonville to Key West in the winter.

SPECIAL NOTE ****MD – SEA COAST – OCEAN CITY – BOTTOM MOORINGS****
The U.S. Naval Research Laboratory will be placing bottom moorings offshore of Ocean City Maryland in a 100 meter radius around 38° 21’ 50”N, 74° 45’ 51”W, approximately 15 NM, east by north, 081 degrees from Ocean City Inlet Jetty Light (LLNR 4720/225). The moorings will extend 1 meter off the bottom in 28 meters of water. Mariners are requested to not disturb these Navy experiments and to avoid dragging in the area. The moorings will remain in place till approximately Feb 23, 2018. Chart 12200, 12211
